Asus T100HA-C4-LB Review
The ASUS T100HA-C4-LB is a new upgraded version of the popular 2-in-1 T100TA tablet/laptop and it looked so cool we just had to review it.
This new model features Intel’s Atom x5-Z8500 CPU from the Cherry Trail series that increases performance by about 20% over the previous Bay Trail CPU.
The 4 GB of RAM handles Windows 10 with ease while the docking station provides USB-C and a multi-touch touchpad. The 5 MP back camera and 2 MP front camera, along with Wireless N and Bluetooth 4.0 support round off the technical specs.
If you’re looking for a cheap alternative to the Microsoft Surface 3 or an Apple laptop, look no further.
Quad-Core Cherry Trail Processor
This is easily the most improved element of this new model. While Atom processors are built for energy efficiency and portability, the new Cherry Trail series also introduces a new element of power and speed.
The CPU clocks in at 1.44 GHz and can burst up to 2.24 GHz in turbo mode. This is a quad-core processor so it pairs with the 4 GB of RAM nicely to provide you with a smooth multitasking experience.
Touchscreen IPS Display
The display on this tablet/laptop combo is actually very nice. It is IPS and has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Some might prefer a Full HD display although I find it hardly necessary on such a small screen.
If you put this side-by-side without another 10 inch display running at Full HD you would have a hard time being able to tell the difference.
The IPS panel is clear, sharp and provides a lot of contrast. Not only that, because this computer can also be a drawing tablet, you can take advantage of all the touchscreen features that Windows 10 has to offer. Try using a pair of the best touch screen gloves for an even better user experience.
USB-C
I really can’t say enough about how excited I am about the new USB-C standard. It’s now possible to daisy chain multiple devices, including multiple external monitors, to a single USB-C port. Not only that, but the USB-C standard has enough juice to charge your device while you are connected to an external monitor or another power source. There really isn’t much that USB-C can’t do, which explains why the new MacBooks have just a single USB-C port.
Ultra-Portability
This new Transformer from ASUS is thinner and lighter than the previous model, providing additional portability. This thing is less than 3/4ths of an inch thick and weighs in at just over 2 pounds. Although it is super lightweight and portable it definitely doesn’t lack in performance or functionality. You truly get the best of both worlds when you pick up this Asus tablet/laptop hybrid.

Customer Reviews
The Asus T100HA-C4-LB has received a lot of mixed reviews from customers. Some people couldn’t be happier with it while others feel it could be improved upon. Still, it’s a lot cheaper than the Acer CB3-431-C5FM Chromebook model that is more recent. But then again, it’s also a lot slower.
